Am I Really Saved?

"I have accepted Christ into my life, but I am doubting if I am really saved". Well, let's just talk about that for a moment.

When you become a Christian by asking God to forgive you of your sins, and you ask Jesus Christ to be your savior and Lord, then Jesus comes and takes residence in your heart. The bible says, "these things I write to you who believe on the name of the Son of God so that you will know that you have eternal life."

The Christian life is not a walk of feelings; it is a walk of faith. The bible says, "the just shall live by faith." So don't base your belief that your saved on your fluctuating emotions, base it on the Word of God where God has made a promise to you.

Remember John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life."

Do you believe in Jesus? Let me define that. The word believe can be translated "Trust in, Cling to, Rely on." If you trust in Him and rely on Him, you're good.  Jesus said, whosoever believes in me will not perish but have life everlasting.

Listen, you have God's word on it, and there's one thing God cannot do, and that is lie. When God makes a promise, you can take it to the bank. So, rejoice if you've put your faith in Christ, you're saved, and you're safe.

Pray this Prayer.

"Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, but I know that you are the savior who died on that cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. I turn from my sin now and I choose to follow you from this moment forward. Thank you for hearing this prayer, thank you for answering this prayer, in Jesus' name I pray" Amen.
